Digital Paula v2 offers an extensive library of over 10,000 photographic filter combinations, created utilizing the Camare Experimental Camera app's advanced photo engine—more details can be found at http://matnum.net. The app provides effects that are unique and are not available elsewhere, enabling the creation of distinctly rendered images.

Designed for versatility, it can function as a standalone photo application for rapid capture and full utilization of its custom image processing engine, facilitating quick point-and-shoot operation. Alternatively, it serves as a powerful tool for developing complex presets without delving into the often intricate settings of the Camare app. This makes it an essential resource for experimental photographers seeking both speed and creative control.

Each processed image includes a QR code, allowing users to easily save and classify their preferred experimental settings. These can be recalled for future use within this application or imported into the more advanced Camare professional suite, enhancing workflow continuity.

The app now supports the creation of high-definition videos of entire photo sessions, providing a convenient way to archive or share experimental results in a single file. This feature streamlines documentation and presentation of photographic experiments.

Built upon a proprietary engine developed specifically for my personal experimental projects, Digital Paula v2 addresses the limitations often associated with external filter solutions. Its layered data-processing approach accentuates digital qualities inherent in smartphone photography while simultaneously enriching images with the tactile appeal of analog processes.

The software integrates a broad spectrum of creative filters—referred to as insaturators—and simulation modes—known as filmulators—encompassing various media such as expired film, digital sensors, and thermal printers. Thanks to an in-house developed engine, these elements can be combined in virtually unlimited configurations, expanding creative possibilities.

This tool aims to broaden artistic horizons by encouraging exploration of digital-image-matter characteristics—what the French refer to as "matière numérique." Regular updates will include additional simulations based on classic cameras and films, as well as vintage digital sensors and devices of interest.
